SkateBoarder
magazine premiered in 1964 with only four issues released
that year and the next.
Publication started again in the summer of
1975, then continuously up through July 1980,
which was the final issue of SkateBoarder magazine.
Skateboarding as a fad started dying
in late 1979. In order to survive, the Surfer
Publishing Group changed the
magazine to
Action Now to appeal to a wider sports market. Action Now ceased publishing in
1982.
Except for the 1964 and 1965 issues, these covers were scanned from my
personal collection.
